8th Annual Youth Composition Competition Ages 10 thru 19 (submittals due by Feb. 14, 2021)

Judging Criteria: 1. Originality/Creativity; 2. Technical Proficiency; 3. Orchestration and Overall Effectiveness

(Note that many entries are entered on just one instrument.)

Encouraging constructive feedback provided. Judges are Volunteers. This year, they will be University Composition Professors from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and University of Wisconsin, Madison, Andrew Sigler and Laura Schwendinger, respectively.

Submit score and recording (under 5 minutes) by Feb. 14, 2021 (Fee goes up to $25 on Jan. 1, 2021) Winners announced April 16, 2021

Prizes:

First Prize: $100 cash or a choice of our music purses or wallets

Second Prize: $50 Sheet Music Gift Certificate

Third Prize: $25 Sheet Music Gift Certificate

If there are at least 3 entries under age 14, there will be a younger division.

First Prize: $50 Sheet Music Gift Certificate; Second Prize: $25 Sheet Music Gift Certificate
