Supporting music education is what this website is all about. For young and old, playing music stimulates your brain and therefore overall healthy living. it uses so many skills at once, reading, listening, interpreting, short term memory, long term memory, (depending on which instrument you play) fine and/or gross motor skills, coordination, discipline, creativity, confidence…
In addition, this website sells note cards (and large prints) often humorously illustrating music practice skills. Put a note card in your child’s lunch box or give a set as a gift to a music teacher… Ask about purchasing original paintings by Becky Chaffee.
We hold an annual Youth Music Composition Competition. We accept all levels of students, and try to provide useful feedback for each entry. Creator, Inventor, Artist, Author Becky Chaffee returns the entry fees to the students as prizes. So supporting the work on this website also supports our competition.
We also sell educational work other than music education work. I will discuss this in my next journal blog.
This picture book is written to encourage and empower children to make practicing an instrument their own . Children should view their instrument as something for fun rather than a chore to practice.
