Violettes 1st Annual Composition Competition for Ages 10 thru 17. The music competition entries are currently being reviewed for the first competition, and notable judges are: Grammy Award winner, Lucas Richman, composer and conductor of both the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra (KSO) and Bangor SO; and Klezmer Jazz composer, musician, and writer, Paul Brody, who has records with his band, Sadawi, on Tzadik and Enja records labels. We received wonderful entries nationwide from California to Florida, but no guitar or country music submissions. We hope to see more genres in our next music competition. Next year we would like to pair mentors with students thru skype. If you are interested in being notified about our next competition as a competitor, mentor or judge, please contact us. Famous Nashville Guitar artist is now painting Signature Rob Hendon Guitar Bags for Upscale folks! Violettes Guitar bags with paintings from our in-house artist, Gigi Wright (published in Decorative Painter, Paint Works and Paint it Today) are now for sale in the O gallery in Nashville. We are planning a children's golf game fundraiser at Target Golf driving range in Powell, TN to raise funds for the Joy of Music School of Knoxville, for the end of June.
