“Southern Flying Squirrel”
Southern Flying Squirrels prefer to live in mature oak-hickory forests near water and containing plenty of snags with cavities. They mostly eat acorns and nuts. They are nocturnal and breed twice a year, littering 1 to 6 young.
They don't fly, but launch from a high point, and glide downward to a tree branch or the ground.
After landing on a tree, they dash to the other side to avoid a predator, which may have followed its flight.
This Print comes as 4 by 6 Note Cards with envelopes and matted OD 16 in. by 20 in. prints.
