EP2.1 December Birthday Poem

  Sputtering down the street   

In a two cylinder Ford Mustang     

 Better ‘an my old feet 

 Coughing all the way   

My hearing aids, they ring   

Making me say “What?”   

Growin’ old is hard, it stinks   

with a triple chin and saggy butt.

   A Day or two Ago 

 I don’t remember, you know?   

With a slipped disc and cataracts 

 It’s hard to be on the go   

My expanded waste line I hide   

From years of eating cake   

My hair is colored I confide   

And it’s hard to stay awake.
